как в коде прописать невидимость TextArea?

Пытаюсь сделать по умолчанию невидимым TextArea details - если вытаскивать компонент на Stage и вручную прописать в инспекторе свойство visible="false", все проходит нормально. А в коде не получается. Может, кто знает, в чем дело?

this.my_acc.Name.createClassObject(mx.controls.TextArea, "ilfaut", 407, {text: scripsi}); 
details=this.my_acc.Name.ilfaut; 
details.visible="false";

P.S. В хэлпе наткнулся на след. комментарий:
The following table lists the properties the TextArea class inherits from the UIObject class. When accessing these properties from the TextArea object, use the form TextAreaInstance.propertyName.

UIObject.visible

A Boolean value indicating whether the object is visible (true) or not (false).
