International company USC (http://uscglobal.com/cms/usc/751/eng/index.html) seeks candidate to take position of a Senior Flex Developer.
Specific responsibilities
• Work with product management to develop use cases for USC System
• Design of Sonopia RIA
• Writing and debugging Action script and MXML to implement formal use cases
• Ensuring USC’s server architecture supports RIAs
• Defining APIs with the server team
• Defect triage
• Planning, development management
• Coaching and mentoring of junior team members
Compulsory skills:
• Fluency in spoken and written English
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in building dynamic, interactive websites by using Flash technology
• Understanding of the architecture of Macromedia v2 components framework
• ActionScript OOP programming knowledge
• Use of formal design patterns within a Flash environment
• Experience of large scale, consumer Flash systems
• Very good real-world experience with working with a data inside Flash via Flash Remoting, Web services/ XML
• Use of version control systems for ActionScript code
• Line management/Team leading
• General knowledge of Flash and other Macromedia development technologies and Flash community
The successful candidate will have experience in several of the following areas:
• Object Oriented design using UML
• Use Case Analysis
• Design patterns
• Working experience with J2EE software engineers that are not familiar with Flash/Flex
• Database design / SQL
• XML/socket programming for Flash
• Video streaming inside Flash using Flash Communication server
• Team leadership
• Cairngorm
Experience in the following areas will be advantageous but not necessary:
• High availability system design and programming
• Agile Programming methodologies
• A personal web-site/blog notable in Flash community
• Experience in development of member-based web sites
• A desire to present on behalf of Sonopia at, industry events and seminars
• Knowledge of the following domain areas:
o Telecoms
o Social software
o Mobile computing
o CRM/Billing
